Aria went through the same stage and even though she still bites a little she learned to "play" bite. What worked for us (we heard from a friend who used to train dogs) is to YELP like another dog would when she bites hard and then walk away or ignore her. She will learn that when she bites hard she's not playing nice and that no one wants to play with someone like that. When we used to do that to Aria she would stop immediately look at us and if we ignored her then she would start kissing us....so it seemed as if she felt bad for playing mean.
