I think this is the first time I've actually heard of animal protection laws working.

I'm all for forgiveness and redemption, but I'm also about practicality. There are plenty of ways for Vick to be a friends to animals without owning one. For one thing, he could donate some of his millions to rehabilitating dogs rescued from fighting. He could do PSAs against dog fighting. He can volunteer. Then, in fifteen years, maybe he should be allowed to have a dog.
