It is interesting how schools are so different in different places. Here, they don't monitor who picks up high school students at all. In fact, all a parent has to do is call the school or send a written note to excuse them. No mention of "who" is picking them up, and the student leaves the building unattended and could get in the car with anyone. (and I am sure there are a lot of forged notes, and phone call impersonations going on too

) But then again, here most students are driving themselves to and from school by the age of 16 so it would be extremely difficult to monitor who the kids are leaving with. I don't know the size of your school, but ours is somewhere around 1000 kids. Honestly however, I am glad to hear they have this kind of security in place.
