Default Discouraging---

We're good breeders, with the highest quality dogs, and we skimp on nothing to keep them safe, happy and comfortable. We work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and even selling for a $1800 make little or no money. This would absolutely not be worth it as anything other than a labor of love. We can't afford to sell puppies for $1000, plain and simple, can't afford it. Some people really are on a tight budget and can only afford $1000, and that's sad, but the right thing to do is work and save up your money until you can afford an excellent dog, AND be able to afford to care for it. I was in the drug store one day and a young man was there asking the pharmacist where to get materials to make a splint because his dog has broken its leg. Too cheap or poor to go the a vet? I can't bear the thought of a puppy of mine ending up in a situation like that. I live in a poor city that is surrounded by very wealthy towns and I rarely sell a puppy to people from there either. They come in their BMWs and MBs , they look, they question price over and over again. Often they admit they "don't want a well bred one, just want a pet for the kids." I can feel sorry for someone poor, been there myself and it sucks. Plain cheap is another matter.
