I remember when Jackson was a little pup, he was probably still only around 5lbs, I did basically the same thing but did not cause such a huge reaction. I was holding him when he decided to leap and he fell sooo hard on the floor, and he did a really loud yelp like five times in a row. I looked him all over, called the vet and all, and he was fine within 2 minutes and back to himself, but oh my how guilty I felt!
Awww, poor Jackson, so glad this didn't keep him from being the action packed Jackson we all know and love.

I too dropped Uni when she was about 4 months. it was while she was still going thru potty training, and I would get up several times during the night. This time I was holding her in one hand and fumbling to get my glasses on with the other. I guess I pushed on her bladder or something causing her to try to move and she fell out of my hand. She landed on carpet, but from our bed which is really high up and she was screaming and screaming. I thought for sure her arm was broken. I set her down a few minutes later and she still wasn't putting her paw down, but when I went to squeeze it and move it around she didn't scream, so I knew it was just sprained and not broken. Boy was I scared that day though.
I bet you were scared...it's so easy for something to happen to these babies. So glad Uni is all better now.
