Coming from a dog who does NOT like to be locked up or isolated from all the happening's going on, I would still leave him at home rather than put him in boarding. I would feel much more comfortable with me being his caretaker and being able to check on him whenever necessary. He wouldn't LIKE being confined to a room or a pen, but if he had to, he'd deal. He'd probably bark or whine for a while but eventually calm down. Give them a Kong filled with lots of yummy treats that they have to work to get out.... Jackson usually doesn't play with things while I'm gone, but in this case, I think he would eventually to get his brain occupied. |
