UTI's are painful, if that is what it is, so don't delay anymore than absolutely necessary. When they get really bad, there will be a pinkish color indicating blood. I used to use a tiny plastic medicine cup to catch urine from Muffin. I tried that with Kacee once - just for a check-up - and I could never get it under her.
She'd stop every time.
