Wow your mom had to have 7 stitches in her hand? thats pretty bad.
Did the biting suddenly start when he was 2 years old or has he been biting since he was a puppy? and at what age did you get him?
I say this because pups taken from their mother and litter before 12 weeks old usually bite because they havnt had a chance to learn bite inhibition from there mom/litter mates. I know how tough it can be as I have gone through it myself.
But seen as Kasey is causing ABH then you need to stop this now. What do you do when he bites?
Have you tried spraying him with water? shaking a can with coins in? yelping?
These things may not work as the biting sounds more agressive. If I were you I would contact a trainer. Good luck!
