Honestly, I don't know if it is or not. I understand your fear. Believe me, I do. I will always remember an older breeder we had on YT and she was convinced that yorkies will always mess their crates. Now, I have never crate-trained, so I don't know. I just remember her always saying that and she'd had yorkies all of her life. I wonder what would happen if you put a pad in the x-pen at night and picked it up in the daytime? Like I said, I did dual-train my last two, so... If all else fails, have her checked out by a vet to see if she has a start of a uti or is coming into heat. Wish I could help you more.
