That's a tough one and I am in a very similar situation only my option is to keep my baby at home or board her to spare her the stress of company. I always take my dogs whenever possible. If you take her though, take enough water from home for her to drink because sometimes, they will go off water if it tastes different than what they are used to, and allow her a few potty breaks to stretch her legs and exercise a little bit.

If the cats are bothering you, one thing to remember is that cats have the advantage, really. If they want to get away from a restless puppy, they can and will. So, even though you may think a cat doesn't want the attention, they just have to be a "cat" about it. They can scratch, but they generally know they are dealing with a innocent puppy and will retreat rather than use force when they can.
