Not trying to scare you OP, but this is what can happen from extreme neglect from uti to crystals, to stones. There were four, yes FOUR of them in Katie's bladder. Poor thing. She's all better now, but she did have to get surgery, and she had to have her system flushed out for three days before the vet could operate.
