I would be able to not crate him at night, he will sleep with us in the bed for a little bit and then he will get up and go sleep in his crate, He likes to lay in there, I leave the door open for him.

The only thing is how am i able to know when he gets up, bc if he gets up and we are not aware he will go pee on the carpet somewhere...??
