I can say from experience that I have purchased show prospects that did not turn out to be show quality but for reasons that would not be a DQ or major fault and will be a brood girl, however a male will not be bred as he cannot champion and will be neutered and stay as a pet. I will be getting a replacement for free when the parents are bred again. I purchased these 2 at 12 weeks and would not do that again ever.
Now I just purchased a show quality male at 6 months old. He went to his first show this weekend and did not win anything but did awesome and has been trained quite well and you could tell. He is a nice puppy and great structure and movement. He came with a strict show contract and if he has any faults that would render him not showable that I have to return him and get a replacement.
