That'll come with time. How old is your little guy. I would teach him to go to the door you take him out. If you always take him out the same door he will get the hint. Our little man sits by the door when he has to go out. When he was 4 months he'd go to the door, but if we didn't jump up and open it he would pee on the floor. At 5 months he could sit at the door for about 5 minutes before going off and potting somewhere else. The older he gets the longer he'll be able to hold it.
