I had a call from the dr just now. His sodium levels are better and he is a little more alert, still not able to eat or drink.
The neurologist looked at him this morning. Peyton has several soft spots still open on his head, so they were able to use an ultrasound probe. Unfortunately he has severe hydrocephalus.
Her exact words were "there's a lot of fluid up there and not a lot of brain."
The continual build up of the fluid is why his neuro symptoms kept getting worse.
There is a possibility a surgery could help, but most likely not. So, I am going to find out more about that.
Please pray for him and for me that I can make the right choices.
