That is one of the problems with feeding so many things at once. If your dog has a bad reaction, you don't know what caused it.

Was anything you fed new to his diet? If not, he might just have a little nervous stomach. What was the vomit like? Could you still see the food? Yellow bile? Foamy?

Some dogs will vomit if they eat too fast (usually looks just like the food that went in), if their stomach is empty and they are upset (bile only comes up), there is too much protein or fat for them to digest (may get a lot of food come up partially digested), if they have pancreatitis, or if they are just plain sick with a virus of some kind (usually accompanied by diarrhea). Lots of reasons for a couple bouts of vomit. My Jack Russell has a sensitive stomach and vomits once a week or so. Never amounts to anything and she doesn't have full fledge pancreatitis but she definately is sensitive! She is also my nervous nellie. Everything makes her shake, poor thing is always so insecure. But her blood work looks great.

You could call the 24 hour vet. But if that was the only symptom in an adult dog, I probably would not take mine in to the vet after just 2 episodes of vomit. You say i twas definately his food. How do you know this? If it is, then a vet trip would not be necessary. Just start cutting out the foods. But it might never happen again, even feeding all the same things. Usually when they are sick, the vet will tell you to stop foods for a while and then you start back with one thing at a time, adding gradually after they show no symptoms with each one.
