Thanks for the vote of confidence, Mary. I'm one of those types that, no matter how much I 'know', I'm always apprehensive until I've actually done it. I do feel much better prepared than in the past so it's time to jump in (plus I'm running out of excuses LOL). |
Let me ease your apprehension. I trained for a year and half, under the excellent training of my breeder's then handler. Even with all that training I was scared. It will feel very ackward in the beginning and take about 6 months before it all comes together like 2nd nature.
I'm still learning and still make mistakes. And I still at times walk out of the ring with my mentor sitting ringside will still critique me.....
Let me add, some of the most experienced exhibitors get pre-ring jitters. That's why you always have mints to pop in your mouth....your dog can smell your nerves.
