Don't give up though! As an experienced dog owner, you have a leg up on most of us. Kaji, my little off standard yorkie, is my first dog. He's actually my first pet. You already know all the time, effort, care, and well to be frank, money that goes into caring for dogs. I kept romanticizing the idea of having a dog and rushed into ownership. So far so good, but there are little things that I could have avoided putting more thought and research into acquiring Kaji. We've struggled some but are getting through it. I adore my little man but I'm sure I wouldn't get another pup the way I got him.
