I can tell you from experience the Bark Off doesn't work...I bought a ton of them because of my neighbor's dog barking, every time we went in our own yard it was bad though and we lived here first!...and I had 4 dogs here then whom bark but not after they are hushed or without good reason. My sig. other works nights so 10 am barking would annoy him...we have a rule here my dogs know well "no barking in the house" they know exactly what it means and respond to it. I'd work on getting my dog used to the new neighbor (taking cookies over never hurts-well avoid nuts in them a lot of ppl are allergic) and do like many say: be attentive outdoors and monitor how much barking is going on and hushing it after a couple barks-besides the ordnance you posted is there any further restriction on the amount of barking I'm asking because here there is a 7 am -10 pm noise ordnance that applies to barking dogs even though it doesn't mention dog barking in the noise "disturbance" ordnance itself, also there is a separate ordnance here that if a dog barks in increments and lasting more than minutes or for periods of you get an automatic fine...honestly I don't see how a Yorkie barking can be that annoying unless you have a shared wall, and being the "new neighbor" you'd think they'd want to worry about fitting into the neighborhood! Either or if your dog is barking you will be the one in hot water so cover your bottom! Best of luck! |
