I too think the extra deposit is more than enough. There should not be additional rent just because of having pets! I too am thankful to have my own home. I remember some trying times finding rentals that allowed pets. I remember the time that it was sometimes difficult to find a place that rented with children! Then they made that against the law. Thankfully.
This is an excellent time to be a buyer -- all time low prices for homes and the interest rates have stayed low too! If there is anyway to swing it, that is what I would do. I am seriously thinking of buying another house. I could do it, just not sure about the additional taxes & insurance if I don't get it rented out. |
