I'm so glad he has relaxed and is a happy little fellow now. Im working with my little one who came straight from the breeder's home where she was never alone even once on her sep anxiety. So it's not only rescue dogs who have this issue.
After 2 months I'm just now beginning to see her panic be not quite so severe and I can actually leave the room for a couple of minutes before she gets anxious. I know what you mean about not making coming home an occasion because the first thing I want to do when I get home is rush in and make a fuss over her. I'm still not sure why that is a bad thing... If the dog can look forward to party time as soon as people come home but I'm trying. |
