Don't use nail scissors! You can buy little scissors made for dogs. They have rounded ends so you don't have to worry about putting their eyes out. We had Dudley trimmed at about 5 months but you can do at any age once he has his shots and it is safe health-wise. I wouldn't clip too close until warmer weather sets in. They get cold very easily.
