Yorkies are some of the most human-like dogs there are. The way they interact with their owners is really amazing and we say childlike because they really do resemble humans in their emotions and actions. That being said, if you could kind of put yourself in Chloe's shoes for a bit. Think about how overwhelmed you would be right now. Sometimes it takes months before they'll pick up a toy again, if ever. She has been traumatized in so many ways. She needs love, but she needs a love she can count on. Not one that will fail her and send her away to be re-homed, yet again. She needs patience and someone who will just accept and love her as she is. If given that she will eventually trust and with trust will come healing and with healing will come all the rest. Think of what would work for you if you had been expecting babies and lost them, had major surgery, been taken to a new home and didn't know what was expected of you where you now lived. You would be frightened, confused, depressed and on top of that hormones would still be upsetting your system. Take her to the vet and make sure that she is systemically sound and then take her home, yours and hers. Her forever home and love her. The rest, with time, will take care of itself.
