Don't be sorry. I agree with you. When I was a kid everyone said Merry Christmas. I still do. My cousin was a teacher in the NYC school system and she said that they weren't allowed to have any nativity scene, etc. They could not display anything that was for Christmas. It had to be a holiday theme, very generalized as to not offend anyone. My boys went to Catholic school so we had the Christmas plays, nativity scene, lighting of the advent wreath etc. Sometimes I think the politically correct things have gone a little too far.
