You sound alot like myself.... i have 5 dogs... 2 big dogs and 3 little ones... As long you can provide for their needs and everyone remain happy, then I say GREAT!! I'm sure you will make 1 sweet little lonely dog happy. My chocolate lab was my rescue when she was 12 weeks old... and I know that she loves me for that.. She reminds me every day with licks and kisses
