Our new additions were brought into our home, both in the dead of very snowey winters. So while our preference would have been to introduce them in our back or front yard, what we did was, have the current dogs crated, when we brought in our new puppy. The puppy was allowed to smell the kitchen and living room, and of course could immediately smell other animals were living in this house. Gradually over the day the pup was allowed to meet our eldest whilst in his crate. Then we brought out our eldest on a leash, and he was allowed to sniff our baby pup when we were in the living room. All went well, eldest is now off lead, and pup is running around, sniffing and trying to play with him. We are very nearby. All good.

Pup goes into his crate in the livingroom to rest. Life in house goes on. Second dog is allowed out of crate and she sniffs pups crate. More time passes. Eldest goes in crate, second dog on leash, pup comes out of crate. They meet and greet. We take these two out for a mini walk together. It is very very cold out, so it is a short walk. We return home. Dogs come off lead (BTW wouldn't have happened if we didn't see good interaction on walk).

Pup is feed separately from the two older dogs for two days. Third day they all eat at the same time in same place.
