Well, that is the ideal situation if you can make it happen. I could not. Like the other poster said, the breeder was very careful about what humans she allowed around the puppies; so I could not see me bringing Ringo in.
If you get that opportunity though, I sure would take it.
If not, try to make their first meeting on neutral ground; even if you have bought the puppy and are bringing him/her home. If that fails, try introducing them in a wide open area like your backyard.
