Dinky is not crazy about the cold. We've had some back tracking in potty issues. We offer him a potty pad in the garage on the way in and out, but so far he is not taking the hint. My hubby keeps a path cleared for him, and we found a great hooded fleece lined coat that goes on easily with velcro and is cut so he can potty without getting it wet. It seems to us that he likes the coat! He's adorable in it. The hood is too cute.
Another problem is that it is just too cold for him to walk outside, and we walk 2 miles every day. It's been so cold and windy that we ourselves are using the treadmill. We are training him on that. It's slow going, but we have to do it. He is used to working off that terrier terror on his walks. I throw squeaky toys down the hall over and over and over, but that doesn't calm him down the way the walks do. The good news is that I retire in June and we plan to move to a warmer climate. If all goes well, next winter will be easier to manage.
