Default WINTER = Snow + Salt

First major snowfall yesterday....Lexi's first snowfall... She ran in the snow trying to catch snowflakes...it was hilarious.

Anyways...I'm just concerned...I know snow is melted away by salt. What measures should I take so that she doesn't digest anything while she's outdoors or indoors.

Indoors, it's hard because I live with my parents and sisters. They will walk in and out on the entrance mat with their shoes and I'm sure there will be salt absorbed into the mat. (We don't have a separate entrance where we can leave our shoes, nor do we have a garage where we can store it. The only place to put shoes is as soon as we enter).

Shoes + Jacket??? Really necessary???

any ideas?
