Joey's had to get use to my sons new puppies, and yes, puppies play way rougher. Joey had to learn to hold his own ground with them especially as the puppies grew. I didn't interfere when Joey barked at them and finally they learned to play and wrestle in a way they both enjoyed. Try to get together as much as possible, and they will soon be friends, it will also help Silver to become more socialized.
