At the September 2010 meeting of the CKC Board of Directors a new CKC Policy Statement on Tail Docking and Dewclaws was reviewed and approved by the Board. This will replace the previous statement on Cropping and Docking. As no CKC Breed Standard has a requirement for cropping the newly approved statement deals only with docking and dewclaws. A separate statement addressing cropping will be presented for Board review at the regularly scheduled December meeting.
