Hello and welcome to YT. Science Diet is not the best food (even though before YT I thought it was. Lol) It very well could be allergies. I have one that has allergies to some foods. They are doing really good on Natural Balance and it has limited ingredients. As far as shampoo, I like Biogroom...although my favorite is Chris Christensen, but you have to order that.
