Isn't it great how fast they can catch on to some commands?
Just catch them doing an antic and train them to repeat it.

LOL! Orinskye, Bodhi does the exact thing!

Itspuppyluv, I do hand signals naturally, too. Hope to do hand signals w/o voice commands in future.

Greenie flakes were a reward until he started gulping them. The rest ended up in the trash - not going to go THERE!

When I use PupCorn as a reward to try to teach "Stay", Bodhi wants it so badly that he just loses control and lunges. I have to use the "toy of the moment" instead.

Hubby just taught him "Give me ten!". We raise our palms up facing Bodhi, wiggle our fingers, and Bodhi jumps up and taps our palms.

I suggested wiggling our fingers so Bodhi doesn't get it confused with the "Stay" command. There's also a much different tone used as well.
"Give me ten!" is happy and perky. "Stay" is serious and a bit lower, but not so low as to be discipline sounding.

I've learned that clapping along with praising is better than just praising because Bodhi's tail will REALLY get to wagging!
