Thank you all!
Facebook and Craigslist are good ideas. I can get my vet to scan for a chip on Monday if he's still here & I'm planning to harass the local shelter a lot -- but he's not going there. They do a 3 day hold, then put them down. No staff, no money. Even so, I really need to get him outta here. He adores our dog, but Joe just sees "BUNNY" and gets in super-hunter mode. I can't let him out of the crate unless Joe is leashed and shut in another room. Very scary!
I took him for a walk down the block a few minutes ago. He gets cold really quickly. I was hoping he could lead me home, but that's not gonna happen. I guess I can wrap him up and stuff him in a bag after it warms up a little and people come out. Maybe someone will recognize him.
His weight is hard for me to judge, cause my own boy is stinkin' huge. He's an easy one hand lift (when he isn't wiggly!). Maybe 5 pounds. He ate biscuits & duck jerky last night, and a little kibble this morning. When I can get him to eat, does 1/4 -1/2 cup a a time sound reasonable? We went for a 4 in the morning potty run, did all his business like a good boy.
The noises he makes concern me a bit. He sounds a little choke-y when he barks, too. He was outside for a long time. We ran across some kids who said maybe a couple hours loose in the streets, then it took an hour to catch the bugger. I think I just ran him down. Little legs!
He's really good with me but hates my husband -- barks, growls, and tries to bite. Funny, cause I'm the witch who chased him around the yard & threw a blankie over his head!
Again, many thanks. I hope someone would do the same for my guy if he ever got loose.
