Winston is almost 7 months and he uses the pads and goes outside. I used a crate that I was able to make smaller. I took him out every hr on the hr to the pad and said potty. When he did I made a big deal and gave him a treat. Let him play for awhile & put him back in the crate. Take him out of crate to eat and drink and over to the pad again. If he doesn't put him back in the crate and take him out again in about 15 min. They get what you want them to do pretty quick. Do not let him have the run of the house. Mine is allowed to played in the kitchen as I watch him, when I can not he is in the crate or the gate is up in the laundry room which is a rather small room with his pee pad to control accidents. Hope this helps, the big issue is you have to watch them, its not their fault if they have an accident it is ours, we were not watching. Yorkies take time..................... be patient.
