New To Forum My name is Vicki and I'm fron Texas. I signed up a couple of day's ago on this forum as a couple list's I had been on there just isn't much activity. This looks like a great list.
I have 3 Yorkies now, Lizzie (11lbs) who will be 14 this coming February, Annie (9lbs) who will be 13 this coming April, and my newest Rescue Willow (4.5lbs) who will turn 6 in January.
Of these- 6 have been rescue's. 4 from Puppymill Rescue, 1 found as a stray,( she just passed) Willow my new adopted one from CRA. The other 3 I bought, my 1st from a Pet Store in 1988(he is now at the bridge) before I knew about puppymills, the 2nd my husband bought me from a Flea Market in Savannah (Lizzie-whom I still have and is going on 14) and the 3rd came a very reputable show breeder (Shayleigh, who I lost at the age of 2 1/2 due to a tragic accident caused by my MIL).
I have had a total of 9 yorkies in my time and now have just the 3, the other's are all at the Rainbow Bridge. I lost my latest Molly on Oct.19 and it just about killed me. She was a stray that was found on the Military Post in Korea when my Husband was there, he adopted her from the Vet Clinic and brought her to the states. She was thought to be 3 years old then. Molly had many medical problems during the last 18 months of her life, she had Cushings, Chronic pancretitis, Renal diease and Cancer. It was the Cancer that finally led her passing.
When Molly passed I thought I would never get another one as my Lizzie and Annie were both up there in age and each has a few health issues, BUT I am always looking at the different Rescue sight's and I came up on Willow, and the look in her eye's staring at me from that web site , I just knew it was meant to be. I filled out the application had my references checked had a home visit and then Willow's Foster Mom brought her to me almost a month ago.
Willow has fit in so well, Lizzie and Annie just love her.
well, I guess I wrote a book. Glad to be a member of this site. |
