I am very interested in this info, we have the large Alex bag for every day and LOVE it, but I do not know if it would be "do able" to fly in. We are going to NJ in the spring and would be flying in to Philly so it would be a long haul. But as you say, the Alex bag is expensive, but oh so nice.
