That was a good suggestion. They also come with a rice sack to warm. It is better than just plain rice as it stays warm for a very long time. Especially this time of year the warmth along with the heartbeat might be very soothing. I have one I used for my puppies -- it is actually a kitten. They had the cat ones on sale at Petsmart for 1/2 price so I figure it wouldn't matter. The pups would all sleep right on top of it, so I think they liked it.
