Very few breeders that are any good in New England have puppies in your price range. If you are paying less, I'd be concerned that maybe you are not getting a quality yorkie. Yorkies have many specific problems and can be expensive to treat. I would recommend you go to a breeder who is reputable and who knows their breeding lines a while back. The YTCA website has breeder referrals. Of all the breeders I spoke to in New England last year, not one was under $1600 for a male and $1800 for female.
