I think you said that he runs in circles around your brother and barks at him Yes, he runs around him barking while trying to run over to me. Or he barks and makes sure that I know he's barking at him (my brother)
It sounds more to me that he is getting excited and is demanding play
Does the dog shrnk away from him if your brother goes to pet him?
Or does he wag his tail? Yes. He doesn't care for my brother holding him, but will allow him to pet him if I'm holding him. He will allow my brother to take him out for a walk too. My brother says he's quiet during that time..goes potty and they return in the house. Shortly after the barking will resume.
Does you brother play with your dog? No
If the answer is yes then its not a fear based thing
He just wants to play
My guys will growl and bark at me until I give in or have enough of their antics when they want to play Now, lately Tommy has been doing this with me too. Usually it's around 4am too I take it as him wanting to play. This growling/barking is totally different from how he does from my brother. |
Oh, I also want to say that I brought Tommy with me to meet my family. We stayed at my sisters house for 5 days. There was a house full during the holidays. He was exposed to alot of people, all ages, males and females. Again, Tommy was fine around everyone but Robert. Even my brother in law (very very big guy) came into the room Tommy and I were in and Tommy didn't say a word. He was fine with all the other men around..even some of the children (though he is weary of toddlers
