She doesn't seem to be in any discomfort, in fact she was back to humping her bed just about 3 days after spay. She's still very happy and playful. She will even eat plain kibble now, whereas before, no way. The other day I forgot to bring some more of her Honest Kitchen so i gave her plain Wellness kibble, and I over poured it, she still ate about the correct amount and left the overage in the bowl. So she's not totally binging, she stops when she's full.
But now you've got me paranoid. I'm gonna talk to the vet. The vet tech who took out her stitches left one in, so now I have to go back anyway to get it taken out. I'll talk to him then. |
I really don't know how you tell, I have read of it happening so many times on Yorkietalk, it's the first thing I think of anymore. I guess they have to take a urine sample to be sure. Usually, there is no sign except extra peeing. At the beginnings of a bladder infection, it's more discomfort than actual pain, hence peeing to give relief. Dog are genetically programmed to hide pain, so they don't usually give any evidence of pain, unless it's significant.
Lol, maybe you want to talk to someone besides the vet tech who left in a stitch!
