If you still want to change his name (and I'm not saying this out of bias because I have a Max
), you could give it a try. I changed my Teddy's name when he came home with me at 8 months old. His previous name also started with a T. DvlshAngel's boy was 1 year old when she changed his name from Bear to Kaji.
Just be consistent with saying Max, and say it often. Pair it with good things like petting, feeding, praising.
