I just took Duke to the Vet for his yearly check-up and vaccinations. She gave him a clean bill of health other than the fact he has a baby tooth that has to be removed in the near future. I was amazed at 5 years of age that he would still have a baby tooth, but I guess that explains with me even brushing his teeth, he still had some bad breath, (worse than the usual doggie breath). His weight had went up to 7 pounds after his neutering but she didn't seem concerned about it. Back to my question though, I got out of her office without asking her what to do about his extremely dry skin. I have bought every kind of shampoo I can find since I have had him the past two years (he was a rescue yorkie-bad bad situation when he came to me) and he has had dry skin from the start. I only bathe him once every two weeks. I know it isn't a food allergy being as he has TONS of hair..

So what else can I do for him? He isn't constantly scratching or anything, just looks bad to me personally when I comb/brush him at night(wet I know not to do it dry) and you can see the flakes in his fur. Thanks for any advice. This is my first yorkie and I am lost!
