Where you are the chickens might be considered *odd* - in our subdivision most of the lots are over an acre so it's not unusual to see a few chickens. Years ago when our son was in FFA we kept some really fine Astrolops (big pretty chickens)
One benefit of chickens, they will help keep snakes out of your yard....if snakes are a problem.
