I cannot let Sprocket out on rainy days, he wouldn't come home!
He loves the rain, water of any kind. Must be some genetic mix up or something. We are just starting into our bad weather season and its not nearly as bad as some of you have, but to wear him out I discovered a really neat and cheap toy, less than $5. Sprocket lived in a house w/cats before coming to live w/us and knew about the "laser chase light", I did not, when I was looking for new toys I came across this, WOW, running back and forth, barking, searching, jumping, just as fast as you can make the light move and for as long as he can hold out. Then he just collapses in a raggy heap and sleeps.
The only way the light toy is better is when DH plays with it & with Sprocket. DH is really the dogs favorite play toy and together, OMG doggie heaven. They are so funny to watch. These toys are sold in almost all pet stores OR in the auto supply store (who would have guessed it) as a flash light type thing on your key ring. Good luck on the finding a way to tire out the dog!
