My boyfriend's sister and her husband have a large dog who was born completely deaf. They have done some training with him and he responds perfectly to hand signals! If he is not looking, they will stomp the ground so he feels the vibration and he'll look and then get the hand signal. You can try training him with treats. Good luck!
