Gilmore had surgery for his patella on Friday. He came home yesterday. He is able to walk pretty good on his leg but is restricted to crate rest for the next three months. He is hating his e collar and can barely move in the crate but the bigger crate gives him too much room and he is standing up on his hind legs which they said it not good for his recovery.
We are only allowed to let him walk for potty breaks but no running jumping or playing for 3 months. I know that is a small time in the life of a dog but its very stressful. I don't know if he is crying in the crate because he needs to potty or because he wants out. He shakes when he is outside. I feel so bad for him. He has not pooped but I am afraid to give him some pumpkin because the last time I did that he was going non stop for three days. It was horrible.

They told me to get him an herbal sedative called composure to help him relax in the crate but he will not eat it and I don't know if I want to force him. I've already had to force him to take his pills and he has a lot of those. Normally he will takes pills no problem wrapped in cheese but this morning he just kept spitting them out.

I'm going to need an herbal sedative for myself . Maybe I should try his. LOL LOL
