In answer to your question on how to "downsize a picture on a Mac"
#1 Open your picture in "Preview" which should be on your Dock - if it is not on your dock, it is in the Applications folder on your hard drive..
#2 When you are in the program "Preview" go to "Tools" and choose
"Adjust size" - you can make it any size you want.
#3 Save the image on your desktop or in a folder.
