I built a set of stairs for Mabel out of foam and covered it with an old blanket which I attached with double sided carpet tape. She used them for a couple of months and now can actually make it up by herself. I just cut the foam chunks and used chopsticks to hold it together. I knew this was just for short term use but if you have someone who is a bit handy, maybe they could construct some stairs for you. I think a ramp takes up a bit more space but if you have the room, that's also a good option. |
