The answer to the question is yes according to research that LP can be caused by injury. It is also common in Yorkies and passed from parents. However, and injury one day prior with just stepping on her and then her being fine sounds a little far fetched to have caused it. I would have to refer to on Ortho vet and they can differentiate between LP from injury and LP from heredity. Hope your furbaby is ok...
